In order to obtain a product of a very high level it is necessary to count on a raw material of excellent quality, for this reason in Aragon Farms we have our own breeding ground of plants, that supplies not only our cultivations but also provides plants to other producers.
The propagated varieties are Non Pareil, Solano andCarmel, being the same that are in production in our orchards, which allows the client to verify the quality and level of production of the plants.
Characteristics of the Varieties
Non Pareil: the most planted and demanded variety in the world. It is a tree with average vigour and high productivity. The fruit is highly desired for its magnificent organoleptic characteristics. It is of a medium size and soft shell. With its uniform fruit of a clear colour and attractive appearance it is used for direct consumption as well as for being processed.
Solano: It is medium sized and a soft shell. It presents characteristics very similar to the Non pareil. It has a slightly smaller level of production, but it fulfils a fundamental roll in the pollination of the orchard.
Carmel: Like the previous varieties it is classified within the Californian varieties and it is characterized as being a very good pollinator of Non Pareil. It is a variety of high productivity and presents a darker and longer fruit.
