The almond constitutes an important component in the
Mediterranean diet. It is interesting to highlight that because of its high energy value and low sugar content the almond can be recommended in the diets of diabetic people.
The mineral composition of the almond presents a great
variability based on the growing conditions, composition of the soil and to a lesser extent by the variety.
